Thumbin It

Well what a day. Its sunday night and we (Jack and Gabe and I) are in Ashland Or. We started our trip on Friday. it took us three rides and two.5 hrs to get to the south jetti in florance. we had a great time walking on the dunes hard with rain. after a great night of staing out of the rain with our great shelter we set out for cali. a sommon named taeo picked us up. he droped us at north bend. we got a coffie and walked through coos bay. what a shitty town. from there no one would pick us up. a bunch of W o4 drivers. so we took shelter in a abandond hotel called the lazy-j. it was very nice accodenmenations. it was dry with no wind perfect for us.the next morn we spent about another two hrs getting out of coos shit hole. finaly pat gave us a ride in the back of his pick up. he droped us south of bandon. from there we waited for about 15 min before a car pulled over. her name was terri. she didnt even drive by she just pulled up with out hesitation. she proceded to get us riped. I mean wow. it was intence and very appricheted. she went out of her way to drop us at port orford the most western piont of oregon.she stoped at a senick point at the south of town. when we got out of the car the wind came close to knockin me on my ass. It was rippen. after playin a bit in the howlin rain we took shelter in a restroom. asfter taking care of business we put on as many layers as we could and headed out back in to the ferice rain and wind for what we knew would be a long cold wet thumb. we were on the corner at the s of town for abou 25min. we realized that there was no traffic. it had seemed that the storm had kept all the bush supporters at there hotels. bad of us. as we were waiting we saw a girl ina red toyta drive by. we had seemed to catch her eye and shure eungh the car turned around just south of us. but then it turned in to a restraunt parking lot. so we went back to thumbin. there was aboulutly no cars on the road. we wanted to know what was down the road so we asked some one at the restraunt what to expect. they told us that there was a camping spot eight miles down the road. we then decided to go for it and try to make it to the camp sight hoping that the sympathy factor would get us a ride. before we left jack said he wanted to get another plastic bag to help keep the guitar dry. as soon as he left the girl thet had driven by earlier pulled up and offered us a ride. just in time. we gladly got in and booked down the coast.she was from New York. she was out here to get away. here parents had died over the last year and she i think just wanted to get out. so she came to oregon got in a car and drove.strieght to us anlon the coast. she was headed to ashand and we wanted to get out of the storm so we helped her find her way. it was a great ride. finaly we got to ashland. now we are at a hostle doing laundry and dring out. we just ate bomb burittos we made in the kitchen. amazing. and now that im done catching yall up we are going to go for a walk and drink our 22oz of beer. being that we cant drink it in the hostle. fill yall in soon. gnight.
